General InformationRelax in the comfortable atmosphere of this mid-19th century home on the Androscoggin River, in the historic village of Topsham, Maine, directly across the river from downtown Brunswick and just 30 minutes north of Portland. The Black Lantern features warm and gracious hospitality with period furnishings throughout; each of the three guest rooms has a private bath. Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the sunny dinning room or on the large front porch. Catch up on reading while relaxing in one of the many lawn chairs overlooking the river. Follow the signs to I-95 North / Maine Turnpike (tollroad). Take I-95 north to Exit 52/ I-295 (about 4 miles). Take the I-95 spur from Exit 52 onto I-295 North (about 3 miles) and take I-295 north (about 21 miles) to Exit 31. Take Exit 31, Route 196, right toward Topsham. After 4 lights in close proximity turn right on US Route 201 toward Topsham / Brunswick. Turn left at the first light, Route 24 North/ Elm Street. We are about 4 blocks down on the right.
