General Information

The Wild Iris Inn has been operating as a bed and breakfast since 1998 in a victorian style house built in 1894 by Walter Brown. The inn is located in one of Portland's historic downtown residential districts, a ten minute walk to the center of town, and a twenty minute walk to waterfront attractions. Guests have the use of a cozy common room with a gas fireplace, offering a stereo, TV/HBO, books, games, and videos. There is a refrigerator and microwave for guests to use. The guests also have access to our business center which has a computer, phone, fax and printer for their use. Breakfast is served buffet-style in the dining room and includes assorted fresh-baked goods, fruit, homemade granola, yogurt, coffee, tea, milk, and juice. Our rooms are comfortably decorated with antiques, hand-made quilts, and down comforters. Sit in our backyard patio after a day exploring Portland and enjoy our hidden garden in bloom from Spring to Fall.
