General Information| We're in Mountain City--close enough to get here quickly (less gas) and far enough to really getaway. Just west of the Blue Ridge - in the far upper east corner Tennessee, 23 minutes from Boone, NC. | A tree-lined drive leads the 1889 brick mansion on a three-acre hill. | TRAVELING WITH FAMILY, PETS? Enjoy our Cottage in the Woods, a 1300 sf house which sleeps 7-8. Woods and hardwoods (for fall color) surround this lovely house which is fully furnished. Bring your clothes and your food. There's a full kitchen. Let the kids explore the old logging trails or take a serious hike UP to the Iron Mountain Trail in the Cherokee National Forest which is just above us. Only 7 mi. to biking on the Va.Creeper Trail in Damascus, VA, and about 40 min. to Boone, NC. where you may enjoy lots of food choices and tourist attractions. Our Cottage in the Woods 9 miles from the inn is perfect for families (kids & dogs, too). Breakfast at inn available for couples only. On 30 acres. Hike and hunt here. Our NASCAR rooms sleep 2 at the inn or 6-7 at the cottage. We offer special mid-week business rates for single business travelers. We have free WIFI/wireless as well as cable TV in all rooms.

Fresh fruit and choice of juices are available every day. IF you require cereal or yogurt, just ask. We do not offer a la carte.

Robert has a physics degree and served in a US Navy nuclear submarine and was a commercial real estate attorney.
