General Information

| We're in Mountain City--close enough to get here quickly (less gas) and far enough to really getaway. Just west of the Blue Ridge - in the far upper east corner Tennessee, 23 minutes from Boone, NC.

| A tree-lined drive leads the 1889 brick mansion on a three-acre hill. Soft earth tones complement antique mission oak furniture and genuine (c. 1997) Stickley. Nothing is stuffy. Relax and enjoy.

| TRAVELING WITH FAMILY, PETS? Enjoy our Cottage in the Woods, a 1300 sf house which sleeps 7-8. Woods and hardwoods (for fall color) surround this lovely house which is fully furnished. Bring your clothes and your food. There's a full kitchen. Let the kids explore the old logging trails or take a serious hike UP to the Iron Mountain Trail in the Cherokee National Forest which is just above us. Only 7 mi. to biking on the Va.Creeper Trail in Damascus, VA, and about 40 min. to Boone, NC. where you may enjoy lots of food choices and tourist attractions.   Judy and Robert Hotchkiss are people who act on their dreams. After 21 years as urban pioneers and successful Atlanta innkeepers, the couple sought - and found - a grand mountain home. Robert has a physics degree and served in a US Navy nuclear submarine and was a commercial real estate attorney. Judy has a journalism degree, wrote news and magazine articles and worked in marketing and advertising.
