Tybee Island Inn Bed and Breakfast

  • Inn Details

Our guests have graciously voted our Inn #1 on tripadvisor for Tybee Island. Tybee Island, a short 15-18 minute drive from Historic Savannah, was named the healthiest beach by Health Magazine, the Top 10 City Beach in the USA by AOL and the best one tank trip by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. And, Tybee was the backdrop for the movie, "The Last Song" starring Miley Cyrus. Historic Tybee Island Inn, circa 1902, captures the beach casual essence of Tybee with style. Framed with magnificent live oaks and palms, enjoy the sea breeze from our large front or back porches or relax in our tropical gardens. Spend the day on the quietest beach access on the Island. Or, explore the Island's history and visit Fort Pulaski, home of a major Civil War battle in April 1862; the Tybee Lighthouse, recognized as the oldest and tallest on the Eastern seaboard; and the cannon embankments and museum of Fort Screven.

We spent the weekend at the Tybee Island Inn. The front garden is beautiful. The Flamingo room we stayed in has it's own entrance, we liked this. Would recommend it to anyone.

This B&B is idyllic! Just a block from the beach in a most lovely setting. Kathy gives a warm welcome, sharing information of nearby restaurants and nice to know insider details. The rooms are well appointed. Despite being a 'house' there was no disturbance of noise from other rooms. As beautiful and inviting as the front yard is, it's almost difficult to leave for the beach or tours of the lighthouse and Ft. Pulaski. The breakfasts were delicious showing thought and care. One of the first things asked was if there were food preferences or allergies which indicates concern and a willingness to accommodate special circumstance.

The Inn is just a perfect getaway. Plenty of places to read a book. The massive oak with the moss hanging down is just gorgeous and really adds to the charm of the inn. The service is was great and breakfasts were very good. Coming in after a days outing to fresh baked goodies, added to the charm.

We had a Groupon for our stay at Tybee B&B so it was a good value. Probably wouldn't have paid the full fare. A charming B&B, good location and good breakfast.
