General Information

Discover the serenity and warm hospitality of our inn five minutes from Acadia National Park at Schoodic. Acadia's Oceanside Meadows Inn, an historic sea captain's home c. 1860, stands on 200 acres at the head of Sand Cove in the heart of beautiful Downeast Maine. At Oceanside Meadows your hosts, Sonja Sundaram and Ben Walter have two very specific goals; to ensure that you have an extraordinary experience staying at their historic inn which has been restored to its former glory with your comfort in mind, and to introduce you to their ever growing 200 acre nature preserve. Husband and wife team, Sonja, whose background lies in geography and teaching, and Ben, whose specialties are marine biology and ecotoxicology, are committed to the environmental preservation of this extraordinary place. Oceanside Meadows marries all that you would expect from an historic inn that has been open since 1860, with an unparalleled opportunity to explore and understand Maine's environment and its natural splendor. We welcome you to explore our inn and the wonders of our peninsula and surrounding area. Treat yourself to a relaxing respite on the ocean. Be lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf on our private sandy beach. Individually appointed bedrooms are all furnished with your comfort in mind. Ocean and meadow views, private baths, flowers from the garden and gentle sea breezes await you.
