The Romance and Relax Package: Step back in time and enjoy a weekend of romance at our 18th Century inn. This package includes a 3 night stay for two people in a super deluxe room with two-person jacuzzi whirlpool tub with fireplace with mountain views, room tax, a full patio/fireplace breakfast each morning, a complimentary carriage or sleigh ride for two (or substitute a horseback ride for two) on our scenic 70 acres. It also incudes a romantic dinner for two at one of the innkeeper preferred gourmet restaurants. (Does not include restaurant gratuity or cost of alcohol) $730. ($760-780 holidays and holiday weeks). "Ride a Horse and Be a Cowgirl"
Women's Horsemanship Getaway: Offered two times: June 21 & 28, 2009:5 nights lodging including tax,breakfast each morning,1 eve. BBQ, 4 morning lessons, 5 trail rides, 1 evening sessions.
It is all about YOU, having fun in an informal atmosphere, developing confidence and learning the fundamentals. It will be a fun-filled time for women 12 yrs and up-whether you are a mother, sister, daughter or girl friend who wants to learn more about horse care, ground skills and riding skills. $1190.- 1 person 1 room; $2000-2 people 1 room; 2 rm suites for 3-4 people avail. We can accommodate a friend, husband, or boyfriend, who wants to come but not participate in the workshop.(regular inn rates w/o workshop). Six person maximum, two person minimum.

Justice of the Peace: One of your hosts at the Farm By the River is Bed and Breakfast with stables is a Justice of the Peace and is available on-site for your convenience for an additional fee. We would be happy to help you with any other arrangements for your special day (e.g. photographer, florist, hair salon).

Polar Express Package For Nov. & Dec. 2009

2009 Polar Express Packages: Package includes a two night stay, tax, TICKETS FOR EACH PERSON, full fireside breakfast. Reservations are being taken starting March 10, 2009 for the last weekend in Nov. and 1st 3 weekends of Dec. 2008 for the Polar Express.
Add a sleigh ride or pony ride to the season festivities-another great holiday season activity open to inn guests as well as the general public.
Polar Express Packages: One room accommodations for 2-3 people or two room family suites for 3-4 people or deluxe family suite for 4-5 people. The Farm by the River Bed and Breakfast with Stables is on 70 scenic acreas of forest, pastures along the Saco River with panoramic mountain views. A land grant from King George III of England, "The Farm by the River" has been in one family for seven generations-since 1771. Stroll the estate and you might see a moose, deer or fox, a variety of birds. In the Fall guests enjoy 16 acres of mature Maple sugar forest on the estate via a Victorian carriage ride.The stables is open year round to inn guests and the general public also.The Farm by the River Bed and Breakfast is a place for all seasons. Summer-start your day with a delicious patio breakfast overlooking the gardens with pond; the resident horses frolicing in the pasture; and the mountains beyond. Later, swim or fly fish from the Saco River from our sandy beach; or go horseback riding. Autumn- experience a kaleioscope of crimson colors as you walk or perhaps take a horse-drawn wagon ride through the pasture and forest to our 11 acre maple sugar stands. The "Brides room". Enjoy this deluxe room with fireplace and king bed. It can either be used as a room with private bath for two or as part of a two-family room suite. It has an adjoining bedroom with queen and single bed, making it available for two couples or a family or four or five.Why not take a private family sleigh ride for four or five-In the summer trek out on orseback or take a carriage ride for the whole family. What a great family getawayThe Captain's Room- A cozy corner room with views out to the north pasture and cathedral Ledge-famous for rock climbing. It has a queen with private bath and is decorated in a classic B and B look with hardwood floors, oriental and hook rugs. Very bright and cheery! There are a variety of rooms to select from depending on the occasion. View the other rooms for a sample.A full breakfast is included with your stay and you can also take advantage of the horse stables right outside our door on our private acreage.
For a truely romantic experience-take your loved one on a horse-drawn Victorian carriage ride on our scenic 70 acres along the Saco river. This might be just the way you have been looking for to ask that special someone to marry you. Or perhaps a carraige ride might be part of your elopement plans. A Justice of the Peace is available on site to perfom the ceremony in our open fields surrounded by mountains. Or for a larger wedding, the father, bride, and brides maids arrive in the carriage to the ceremony, the marriage is performed, and the bride and groom leave in the carriage to tour the property and have a few minutes alone before returning to their guests and the reception.
The Farm is in a league of it's own. Guests can enjoy the intimacy of ten unique rooms in this award-winning inn for sensitve historic preservation (circa 1786)- yet enjoy the natural amenities one would expect to find in a more populated resort. Experience a crimson kalidescope of colors in the Fall and stroll through 11 acres (of the 70 acres) of mature maple sugar stands situated along the Saco River. Guest can enjoy a stroll on the property or take a guided horseback ride or Victorian carriage ride. Special inn guest rates are available.
