The Parlor has beautiful leather chairs where guests can sit by the fireplace to read, listen to music, have fun with jigsaw puzzles, or relax with a glass of sherry or brandy. The room is filled with original artwork. There are books and games available for guests and there is Internet access made available through a wireless network. Bring your laptop or borrow one of the Inn’s. This room overlooks historic Town Hall Square. In the Keeping Room a full breakfast is served during the summer months and a continental breakfast at other times. On those cold mornings, the fireplace glows with warmth and comfort. This is the original fireplace and beehive oven and was built of hand-made bricks. The fireplace still has the swing-out arm to hold the kettles once used for cooking. The table can accommodate 10 people and was made by the “Barnstable Table Maker” from very old wood. The hutch and buffet are also handcrafted.
The Lottie Chipman Room is named for Charlotte (Lottie) Hall Chipman, last member of the Hall family to own the property. This bright, sunny room has a fireplace, a four-poster bed, and a bath with tub and shower. The Robert Morse Room is named for the husband of Margaret D. Morse to whom the house was sold by Charlotte Hall Chipman on July 13, 1929. This wonderful room opens onto a deck. From the small display closet next to the fireplace you can see the handmade bricks of the original chimney.
