Apple Croissants
Serves: 4Ingredients:
- 4 Firm apples (a Granny Smith)
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup White sugar
- 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
- 1/4 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 4 Croissants cut lengthwide
- 1 1/2 cups Milk
- 3 Eggs
Steps:
- Melt butter and sugar together and cook for 2 minutes in a large frying pan. Stir in cinnamon.
- Add apples and maple syrup and cook until tender (about 20 min)
- Whisk together milk and eggs in bowl. Dip croissant pieces in milk and egg mixture, then cook on pre-sprayed griddle until golden brown.
- To serve place a croissant half on each of four plates. Top with apple mixture. Cover with remaining croissant pieces and dust with icing sugar.
