    4/20/2010 - 4/20/2012

This package includes dinner for two at the restaurant, a souvenir glass, a night at the B&B, and a full country breakfast in the morning. Guests may arrive and relax at the B&B prior to embarking on a scenic mountain drive to their dinner destination at Devils Backbone. The 18 mile winding mountain drive along Patrick Henry Highway features bustling farm markets, breathtaking mountain views, cozy country churches, lazy grazing cattle, antiques and art shops, and a relaxing coffee shop. Arriving at Wintergreen Mountain Village, our guests are surrounded by a 360 degree mountain view. The outside siding of the restaurant/brew/pub is local poplar that has been cut especially for Devils Backbone. The roof on the restaurant is a new product that is made from recycled metal that rusts immediately and gives the building a glowing deep-golden illumination. Inside, all of the the chairs, tables and floors are made from reconditioned barn wood by a local company in the Shenandoah Valley. A local blacksmith has crafted custom chandeliers and wall sconces with hops and hop leafs around the sides with stalks of barley reaching upwards. A local farm feeds the spent grain to the cattle, and the meat on the menu comes from the same farm.

Everything was just perfect to support a week working in the Lovingston area. Great breakfast in the morning, quiet evenings with consistent fast internet connectivity, and a well-stocked DVD collection to relax at the end of the day. I am looking forward to being "a regular"!

My husband and I drove down from Maryland for a few days in late October to enjoy the fall foliage. Harmony Hill is a beautiful log cabin decorated with a country feel. It is perfectly situated at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We were greeted by Cherie and their dog, Kali. We stayed in the Minuet Room. It was very comfortable and immaculate. The breakfasts were excellent, especially the Apple Cinnamon French Toast. Plenty of food to eat - breakfast meats, fresh fruit, eggs. You can enjoy freshly baked goodies, a variety of packaged snacks, candy, coffee, tea, or cold drinks at anytime of the day or night. Choose a movie from the large DVD collection and snuggle in your room with the fireplace glowing at the end of your day of sightseeing. We really enjoyed the secluded mountain setting, beautiful landscaping, sounds of the trickling waterfall in the fish pond, and the deer in their backyard. We really enjoyed our stay at Harmony Hill and highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Cheri for a wonderful fall getaway... Debbie & Bob

Drove down from Maryland for a weekend adventure and had that and more. Harmony Hill is perfectly situated at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is very tranquil. There are wineries and cideries close by, and we were able to get complimentary tickets to visit Monticello as well. This is absolutely a great value. Mark and Cherie make amazing breakfasts with fresh fruit, apple french toast, peach cobblers and so much more. They are truly great people and strive to provide excellent service, which they achieve and more! We would recommend their B&B to our friends without hesitation. Thank you for an amazing time!!! ~ Jen & Christian

This B&B was incredible! My husband and I came to celebrate the end of my student teaching. We were welcomed to a cozy and beautiful home, and went upstairs to find an even cozier room! We were impressed by all of the intricate detail, and went home with so many ideas for our own home. We fell in love with the atmosphere and charm of this B&B, and will most definitely be returning! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
