Nice comfortable accommodations in a very scenic area. Karl and Beth made me feel as though I were family. Excellent, unhurried breakfast. I would would put The Wooden Duck on top of my list for a return visit

We needed to find a nice place to stay in order to meet a work obligation in nearby Blairstown, NJ. We researched options on the web and chose the Wooden Duck....what a delightful B & B. Our hosts were most gracious and accommodating, even to recommending nearby eating places and providing numerous driving directions. Our room (not even the best in the inn) was truly one of the nicest we've expereinced in all of our B & B stays. The setting, along the fringes of a State park was enchanting and we felt relaxed within a half hour of arriving. We're not sure that we will have reason to return to the area---but just might have to make one up!

It's not very easy to find a place to stay in the Sparta-Newton area, but if you are fortunate enough to find the Wooden Duck, you will be pleased. It is a lovely respite and we will recommend it to all.
