Ice Cream Pudding

My Aunt Mary gave my mother this recipe more than 40 years ago when we were kids. It soon became one of our favorite desserts.

Ingredients:

• 60 Ritz crackers, crushed fine
• 8 tablespoon Butter ( 1 stick)
• 2 boxes(3 3/4 oz) Instant pudding (your favorite flavor)
• 1 1/2 cup Milk
• 1/2 gal. Ice cream

Steps:

1. Melt butter and mix with cracker crumbs. Then press into bottom of serving dish. (can be a bowl or square baking type dish)
2. Blend together milk and 2 boxes of pudding. Add Ice cream. Blend well and pour over cracker crumbs.
3. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight and serve. Top with Cool Whip if you like.
4. HINT: You can get really creative with this by mixing different flavors of pudding and ice cream. You can also vary by adding bananas or other furit, nuts, marshmallows or add a layer of jam or other flavoring.
