General InformationExperience Alaska in Anchorage at Mahogany Manor. Located on wooded bluff acreage in downtown, enjoy the ambiance of a serene, secluded first class wilderness lodge that is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Revered as an "architectural masterpiece", the manor house was originally built in 1947 and known by many as the "original mansion of Anchorage". It was designed for entertaining and we continue that tradition with visitors from around the world. Guests enjoy a spacious, warm redwood lounge area, including two large screen TV's, floor to ceiling waterfall, indoor gardens, huge windows, two massive fireplaces, 19' whirlpool swim spa, dedicated guest kitchen and much more. What guests seem to enjoy most is our "attention to detail and service". We overlook Mulcahy Park for 4th of July and New Years Eve fireworks. Within a 5-10 min. walk is Sullivan Arena for "The Great Alaskan Shoot Out" invitational basketball tournament, UAA hockey games, trade shows and many other events. The airport and train station and most business centers are within a 10 minute drive and city center is 8-14 blocks. The place to stay when you visit Ancorage.
