General Information

The Murphy House is located in the historic district of downtown Oneonta. Only one block from Main Street, guests often enjoy a pleasant walk to a downtown cafe for dinner, or the sound of bells ringing from a nearby church. Noted for quality, the Murphy House offers two well-appointed guest suites, named after citizens from Oneonta's rich history: Lafayette Stanton and Mrs. C.S. Hanks. Each morning, coffee and the daily newspaper are available on a sunny indoor porch. 'Breakfast of the Day' may include quiche and homemade biscotti, or gingerbread pancakes with real whipped cream. Truly a delightful place to stay while on vacation, visiting family or friends, or traveling on business!

  Please inform us at least four weeks in advance if you need to cancel your reservation. If we are able to re-rent your room, we will gladly return your deposit, less a small service fee.
