    Signature Dish

    Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies
This has become a "Signature Dish" because returning guests always go to the ever-present cookie jar looking for them. Baked daily, these Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies aren't your run-of-the-mill cookies! They are filled with three kinds of chocolate, plus walnuts and pecans. Not exactly exciting, but they are baked at about 4 p.m. daily. When eaten straight out of the oven, it's heaven!

Like many guests, we came to celebrate an anniversary. The cottage was adorable, the breakfasts remarkable, and the stay memorable. You can't go wrong selecting this place for a special weekend.

Pros: Quiet, clean, nice rooms, good breakfast, nice hostess, free wireless Internet. Cons: uncomfortable feather mattress, dog-gate on stairs (I love dogs, but the gate is a hindrance to guests), no chocolate-chip cookies after 6 pm when we arrived as advertised (picky, I know), very slow Internet (my tethered Blackberry was faster).

The room was beautiful and cozy. Everything was there that you needed and the innkeeper was always at hand. The maid was a bit unpleasant, but we only required her twice. Overall i had a wonderful stay! We will definitely return.
