    Set in the heart of Marin County, just 20 min. north of San Francisco and 30 min. south of the Sonoma & Napa wine country, the Gerstle Park Inn is a breathtaking example of comfortable elegance and refinement. The historic San Rafael estate, with 12 guest rooms and cottages, on 2 1/2 acres, provide a beautiful location for those wishing to escape city life and still enjoy access to all the attractions of the Bay Area. The interior is furnished luxuriously with Oriental and Western antiques and art. The rooms are stunning, offering spacious comfort and numerous conveniences and amenities. Each room is ensuite with its own private balcony or patio. A full breakfast, cooked to order, is served in the dinning room or on the verandah.     We instantly felt relaxed and at peace in this fantastic setting! We were scheduled to go into the City with friends but after our arrival we were happy to sit sip some port and melt into the comfortable sitting area. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the linens fantastic. The smell of lily's filled the parlor we felt such a welcoming. Breakfast was elegant and fresh, what a pleasant surprise!!

    We just celebrated our anniversary at The Gerstle Park Inn which is an elegant, beautiful place set in a quiet, private location. Our room was very tastefully decorated with intricately carved antique furniture, Asian lamps and high-end drapes, carpet and bedding. We had breakfast looking out on serene and gorgeous grounds. The innkeepers have thought of every detail and made us feel pampered and special. Our stay was such a pleasure and it was a delight to live in the lap of luxury.

    Absolutely exquisite visit in every way. Even the grounds are amazing. Wi-fi, best hospitality ever, fabulous rooms that are immaculately clean and gorgeously decorated, great breakfast. It just plain doesn't get any better than this.

    My son fell in love with Marin County about 10 years ago.The last time I visited I stayed at this lovely inn. The setting was tranquil...the innkeeper delightful...we were treated like favorite guests, even though it was our first visit...it just felt like we were returning to someplace very special. I'm about to make the trip again, and I look forward to that same welcome.
