  • The Empress of Little Rock Small Luxury Hotel Video: Voted #4 MOST ROMANTIC in AMERICA!,this award winning boutique specializes in TAKING YOUR BREATH AWAY. From the time you enter the foyer of the Grand sitting area to relaxing in the hammock in the Moonlight Secret Garden and listening to the gurgle of the Victorian Quartz Fountain, this is a stay you'll remember. Featherbeds, hydro-massage showers with steam and aromatherapy, unique in our state, the soft glow of long ago lighting or a gourmet candlelit breakfast will all create a memory and an experience making this stay one you will relive and revisit! Whether your stay is romantic, business, or leisure, this innkeeping staff knows how to indulge a guest!! Imagine an evening in the family parlor at the Biltmore, surrounded by luxurious antiques, the warmth of the fire draining away the tension of a busy corporate day, stretched out in your smoking jacket or Victorian dressing gown, and that special book you've been postponing for the "right time". Each room at THE EMPRESS conveys just such a feeling in your own private sitting area. Or imagine luxuriating in the "bath of the century" (19th that is) provided by a claw foot tub and the soft glow of long ago lighting. Perhaps the lure of the "secret" watch tower in the turret intrigues you. Or imagine yourself as Scarlett, descending a magnificent double staircase made of walnut and cypress, lighted by the rainbow hues of a 64 square foot stained glass sky light. Breakfast beckons you to leisurely dining served in the formal dining room, resplendent with silver service and unrushed conversation, where true Southern hospitality is served, along with English crumpets. Queen Victoria would have nodded her approval. Imagine further, a 19th Century Drawing Room in patterned carpet, rich wood wainscoting backdropping a game table with a puzzle partially put together, drawing you to pull up that cozy chair and add the next piece. Now is the "right time". The Empress of Little Rock: "the forgotten experience

The Empress is an excellent B&B. Service was top notch and room was amazing. Will return. Second visit to the Empress.

Nice accommodations, good service, a little out of the way.

We had a great time staying at the Empress. The rooms are wonderful, and the value is very good. The only negative is that the Empress is located in the middle of a lower income neighborhood (which can be noisy at night) with nowhere to walk to...must drive (albeit a short drive) to everything.

    Excellent experience!

The rooms were excellent, it was aesthetically very pleasing to see the intricate details of the rooms, at the same time the beds were very comfortable and the food was excellent. When we stepped into the Empress it was as if we were brought back into the Victoria era. Very nice getaway!

    great time

This is a incredable house with a very interesting history. That alone would be a reason to come here, but there is so much more. More than can be said here but here is a small list: the beds, the sheets, the furniture, the service, the location, the chocolates and magazines in the rooms. If you find yourself anywhere near Arkansas, find your way to the Empress of Little Rock.

My fiancee...now husband and I dont have much money. But a wedding at the Empress was SO affordable; and it sacrifices nothing! We had a beautiful garden wedding that was simply enchanting; we stayed in the hemingway suite and had breakfast in bed no less! We could only stay one night but are already planning to stay at the empress in spring and then again for our anniversary next year. The staff is AMAZING and I was impressed with how simple things were to arrange the wedding while working full time with LOTS of overtime hours. I really didnt have to do anything but show up! Thanks to Jessica for setting up the wedding and Deborah was so much fun and was gracious when bringing us breakfast. We recommend this to anyone planning a wedding or just want a beautiful getaway!
