General InformationA beautiful Country Inn with all the charm and graciousness the name implies. The Sterling Inn has been known for its fine food and accommodations for over 100 years. There are miles of trails for walking and hiking. Two crystal clear streams and a beautiful waterfall along a mountain path are favorite spots for a walk or picnic. Our kitchen staff would be happy to pack a tasty lunch for one, two or more. At the Inn we have entertainment many weekends and for special occasions during the week.

MOTOR TRAVEL: Distance about 110 miles from New York: I-80-W thru Delaware Water Gap (bypassing Stroudsburg); bearing right on I-380-N to Exit #8 (Tobyhanna)to Route 423-N; 7 miles, Route 191-N 1/2 mile to the Inn. - OR - after crossing toll bridge at Delaware Water Gap, take Exit #307 in Stroudsburg and follow Route 191-N 25 miles.
From I-84, take Exit #20 (Greentown/Lake Wallenpaupack) Rt. 507-S to stop sign. Take route 191-N 4 miles to the Inn.
From Philadelphia: Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike to exit #35 (will change to #95 Nov. '01). Route 940-E, 423-N and 191-N to the Inn.
Bus: Martz and Greyhound buses met upon advance notification at Mt. Pocono. There is a transfer charge per person each way.
