General Information

Resting atop one of the grandest ridges in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Earthshine is the storybook grandmother's farm you've always dreamed about as a child. Our 1 1/2 story log lodge has magnificent mountain views, rock fireplaces, log beds & rockers, "little house on the prairie sleeping lofts" in the rooms, private baths and private 2nd story balconies to take in the vistas. Earthshine loves families - in fact, they are our specialty! Activities abound for every age: Barnyard treks to see the farm animals; our famous "Flight Thru the Treetops" zip course; hammocks and rockers; a high ropes course 40' up in the air; horseback riding for little ones; campfires with s'mores and mountain stories; barn dancing (in our renovated barn!); a 30' climbing wall; Pioneer and Cherokee living history; babysitting and creek hikes; homemade water slides and water games; and much more. Earthshine takes care of you all the way while you're here with our friendly staff and by creating unforgettable memories. And our rates are all-inclusive (even taxes are included!).

  Sunrise cottage has 3 suites each suitable for a family with several children. Each has a private bathroom, gorgeous view, private porch or balcony, gas fireplace stove and lots of privacy.

  Sauteed mountain trout caught that day served with light seasonings so the freshness seeps through; BBQ Ribs cooked all day in our oven and served slipping off the bones.

• Minimum stay required (Two night minimum & sometimes longer minimums during holidays)
• Smoking is allowed in limited areas (Smoking allowed outside the log lodge only)
• We cannot accommodate guest pets
• Children are welcome (Our specialty is families; activities unlimited for all ages)
• Childcare is provided (Babysitting & activities for older children available daily)
• Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Brown-bagging permitted)
• Deposit amount required (Half-payment deposit required to hold a reservation. Call us for details.)
• Check in time is 3:00 pm and Check out time is 11:00 am

Go 1.6 miles on Golden Road and turn right up our driveway. There is an Earthshine sign right there just over a little bridge. We're at the top.

• Directions from airport:
  Turn right out of the airport (Highway 280). Continue on 280 to Mills river (stop light) where 280 bears right to Brevard. Bear right to Brevard and continue it all the way until you see an intersection for US 64. Go straight at this intersection and this puts you on US 64 West. Travel 17 miles from the Walmart at that intersection until you get to the Lake Toxaway BP station. Turn right on that road (Silversteen). Go 1/2 mile, turn left onto Golden Road. Go 1.6 miles on Golden Road and turn right up our driveway. There is an Earthshine sign right there just over a little bridge. We're at the top.
