Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this stunning victorian sea captain's mansion has most recently been listed as "highly recommended" in Fodor's 2006 Maine Coast Guide. It has been showcased in Yankee Magazine, Historic Inns of the Northeast, and America's Painted Ladies. Built in 1874, the Inn was once home to legendary impressionist painter Waldo Peirce. Lifelong friends and portrait artist of Ernest Hemingway, who frequented the Inn, Peirce found his inspiration and refuge along the breathtaking shores of Penobscot Bay and in the quaint town of Searsport. • Cancellations:
  In the event you need to cancel, a 7 day notice is required for a refund of your deposit less a $25.00 processing fee. Deposits on reservations cancelled within 7 days of arrival will be refunded only if rooms are re-rented.
