Arlene's Spicy Baked pears with Yogurt
Featured in February 2000 Sunset Magazine, this award-winning recipe is an enduring favorite of our guests. It makes a great breakfast starter, but is also a tasty dessert treat, served warm with a little vanilla ice cream or creme fraiche. Some longtime guests of ours - - the Barquists, grow delicious pears in Lake County. Whenver they come to visit, we look forward to serving the wonderful pears they bring us, freshly picked from their orchards! This recipe can be prepared in advance by combining all the ingredients except the orange juice. Pour over right before baking.
