General Information

Today's guests are welcomed by Janel and James Martin to their Federal Colonial home built in 1804. Upon arrival you will be escorted up the flying spiral staircase to one of seven comfortable guest rooms, to enjoy a restful sleep snuggled under a Down comforter and a handemade quilt. Enjoy an evening beverage as you cozy up to the rare beehive firplace to gaze through the windows still with their shotgun shutters to the beautiful landscape beyond. Early travelers arrived by stagecoach, where their luggage was handed up through the second floor doorway that is still visible today. The Wakefield Inn is one of 28 Historic buildings making up Wakefield Corner, which is listed on the Natonal Registry of Historic Places.
