The Bentley Inn is an 1886 Victorian Mansion located in the historic & picturesque seaside town of Bay Head (just 60 miles from NYC & Philadelphia), New Jersey. Many call it the “Hamptons of the Jersey Shore. We are just 3 houses from the ocean and feature 19 guest rooms with TV/VCR, A/C, full-serve breakfast with 5 entrees, private off-street parking, complete beach gear, bicycles, wrap-around covered porch, free wireless internet access, large living room, dining room and sunlit solarium. Slip back to another time and relax on the 1st and 2nd floor covered porches with ocean & bay breezes. We can accommodate special events (up to 45 people), small weddings, business meetings, family reunions, etc. Later check-in available if arrangements are made in advance with innkeepers. The timeless beauty of this small country village by the sea is both elegant and casual, creating a mystique that has endured for generations. Since the late 1800's, Bay Head has been the favorite vacation place for those who enjoy a certain kind of quiet, a relaxing yet friendly way of life, and a safe haven in which to pursue both land and sea activities. The general enjoyment of the natural, uncrowded lifeguarded beaches make Bay Head a favorite for those who like a quiet time. The people who return year after year to Bay Head take great pleasure in some less publicized everyday activities - collecting shells and sea glass on the beach, bicycling on quiet village streets and, perhaps best of all, seeing a variety of birds in our wildlife preserve.

We also cannot make refunds for early departure; however, with prior notice you are welcome to send someone in your place.

Management keeps the Inn a very friendly atmosphere. When you walk in, its as if you know them. They make you feel right at home. The hospitality is astounding. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. My wife and I slept well. I would definitely recommend it to someone.

Glenn the Innkeeper was extremely nice and helpful. This is definitely the place to stay if you you're going to stay in Bay Head or the shore area in general. The dining room and living room are great places to just hang out for a while. The Inn is within walking distance of good restaurants, the ocean, and bay. You'll love it at the Bentley Inn.

My husband and I spent the past two nights at The Bentley Inn and had the greatest time. Glenn is the most wonderful and gracious host. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. We can't wait to go back in nicer weather to take advantage of the close walk to the beach and leisurely sitting on the porch reading. There was a varied menu for breakfast and everything we had was delicious. They had snacks out throughout the day. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Glenn. Sharon & Bob

Nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. Glenn was very pleasant but the room was average to small and kind of expensive for what we got. Great breakfast though.

The Bentley Inn has a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are clean and cozy. Whether you are seeking some fun in the sun or just want to escape from everyday life's stresses, you can find what you are looking for at The Bentley. Breathtaking sunsets can be enjoyed from the balconies. A delicious breakfast is available for you to start a great day. A leisurely bicycle ride or a walk along the beach is only a step away. The innkeeper, Glenn, is always available to greet you, share stories, and make your visit as relaxing and memorable for you. Bring a good book or take in the nearby sites in Bay Head.
