General InformationAs you turn into the Fort Wood Historic District you are presented with this majestic Victorian Romanesque mansion built in castle-like proportions. It is rich in history and situated on top of a former Civil War Fort. This 13,000 ft. historic mansion tells of its history as you walk from room to room. From the original Mayor's Library to the Ladies Withdrawing Room, guests can get a glimpse into what Victorian life might have been. The beautiful Art & Antiques that surround you tell of a different time and era. The staff will pamper you with afternoon tea, hors d'ouerves and turndown service. The cuisine will have you wanting more with each additional course and your stay will be "as unforgettable as your surroundings."
