The Mayor's Mansion Inn is marvelous! The staff is hospitable and helpful; the breakfast is a feast for the eyes and the palate; the public areas are charming; and the guest rooms are beautifully decorated, immaculate, and comfortable. The Mayor's Mansion is within walking distance of the river, art galleries, excellent restaurants, and the university.

My boyfriend and I visited the Mayor's Mansion Inn and it was wonderful! We stayed for 1 night and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff greeted us as we pulled in, gave us a tour of the home, made sure we had all of the information we needed and took us to our room. I loved the room we had - it was soo beautiful! Lovely jakuzzi tub and shower. I instantly wanted to put on the soft robes when we got there but first we went out to dinner downtown. The staff helped with ideas of places to visit and with directions. When we returned from dinner, we enjoyed cocktails on the porch. We loved the historic feel of the house! But also has modern touches. Our room had a private bath which is a must for us! Breakfast the next morning was delicious! We didn't want to leave.. We hope to visit again!

My wife and I have stayed at various bed & breakfast all over the southeast -- and the Mayor's Mansion is definitely one of our favorites. There are several things that makes this particular inn stand out: - Hospitality & Service - the staff is very friendly and immediately make you feel like you're visiting family that just happen to live in a very nice house. We grew to know and love the staff members on our first visit, and the relationship has grown on subsequent visits. It now feels like a homecoming any time we visit. - Breakfast - Their breakfast is always an experience. I mentioned a fondness for pork products on our first visit, and they have created innovative and humorous ways of presenting my breakfast . . . getting more creative and funny upon each visit. This Halloween they made me a "haunted pork house" - Architecture & location - Staying in this inn makes you feel as if you are royalty. Each room is unique, beautifully decorated, and the ambience of the entire house is elegant and classic. It is indeed a trip to another time and place, and a social upgrade to royal VIP status. The surrounding Fort Wood neighborhood adds to the historic feel, as the entire street is a trip to another time and place. - Location, location, location - I had passed through Chattanooga in the 70's and early 80's, and had seen Rock City and eaten at the Choo Choo. . . but it wasn't a place I ever considered staying. Well, I stumbled through Chattanooga a few years ago and was shocked at the stunning makeover. It's now one of my favorite cities, with wonderful restaurants, art, atmosphere, and history -- and the shimmering diamond is the Mayor's Mansion Inn. To get the full Chattanooga experience, this is a place that must be experienced. There are many more things I can say, but you really have to experience it yourself! Take a trip to Chattanooga and stay at this wonderful B & B -- you won't regret it!

We just happened up on this place as we had an extra night in Chattanooga. The service was great, the girl that greeted us was very nice and knowledgeable of the Inn and Chattanooga. The coffee was outstanding and they even brewed up a pot just for me upon our arrival. The man who worked the night shift was excellent, providing pleasant conversation and also helping with our bags. A very nice touch to end our stay in the Chattanooga area!!

We had a nice 2 night stay here in July. The house looks amazing when you drive up and when you go in is really grand and you immediately feel you've made a good choice. The room was fine with a good sized bathroom. The breakfast was ok, but not brilliant or gourmet. I stupidly forgot to tell them I was vegetarian on the first morning. I was profusely apologetic, but even with that, the girl cooking that morning was clearly very annoyed with us and stormed out of the kitchen to tell us... not good... The guy serving had a much better attitude and nothing was a problem to him. If you have a car, everything is close and Chattannooga is easy to find your way around.
