General Information

The century-old Washington Irving Inn is located on the outskirts of the historic Village of Hunter, Greene County, New York. Built circa 1890, this charming Victorian Inn is located on scenic route 23A (also known as "The Rip Van Winkle Trail") approximately two miles from Hunter Mountain Ski Bowl in the Catskill State Park.

The Inn's environment transports you back to a gentler, less harried time when people-watching was a popular pastime and front porches were "the" place to be. The Inn's distinctive architectural charm and informal atmosphere make the leisure-traveler feel at home. The Inn is suitable for romantic getaways, family outings and reunions, weddings, and group and corporate retreats.

Cancellations according to the following schedule: Weekend-14 days prior to arrival date; Holiday and Peak Periods-30 days prior to arrival date; Midweek-3 days prior to arrival date; We understand that things can change, but if you do not cancel your reservation within the abovementioned times, you are responsible for one night’s stay, which will be applied to your credit card.
