General Information

Built in 1851 by G. Leger during the Gold Rush of Calif. Mokelumne Hill the second and richest strike of the Mother Lode. Today The Hotel Leger is still operating as one of the oldest hotels in Calif. It is well Known for its good service, food, and ghost lohr. Moke Hill also a host to the oldest Catholic Church in Calif. & the oldest 3 story building in Calif. The old Calaveras Court House, now part of the hotel, was purchased by G. Leger in 1864.
