We stayed at the Union Street Inn about two weeks ago.The English Garden room was lovely.Due to the cold weather we were not able to enjoy the deck and eat outside. Due to the weather the garden seating was not useable which forced us inside. There is no dining room at the inn so breakfast is served in the parlor on wooden TV trays. This is a little awkward but they do the best under the circumstances. Union Street Inn is the place to stay, Jane and David give ideas for great food and tours around the San Francisco Bay; Each room is decorated with beautiful color and charm, With such comfortable bedding and the smell of coffee - No need for an alarm; Kit's fruit salad is truly the best, Every slice is made with love and to guess what fruit - it's quite a test; She makes awesome breakfast to start your day, She loves taking care of people and gets you on your way; After 5:00 when the guess return and have wine/cheese and a nice chat, They look out at David's garden - He wears a great hat; Union Street Inn is where you'll come back, Because hospitality - they do not lack; We did not leave our heart in SanFran but a piece of it at the Inn.

My wife and I have just completed a 7 day stay at the Union Street Inn and can only heap praise on praise! This really is a home from home and in a great location, easy to reach all parts of the city by bus and great restaurants within easy walking distance. Wonderful breakfasts afternoon tea and wine and cheese canapes, attentive and helpful owner and staff. If you are lucky enough to get a room here you wont be disappointed.
