General InformationLocated on the historic El Camino Real Hacienda Vargas occupies a site of historical significance in the saga of New Mexico. It has been a stagecoach stop, Indian trading post, train stop U.S. Post Office. During the renovation great care was taken to preserve the original structure. The oldest part dates to the 1840's. Hacienda Vargas has three bedrooms, and five suites, all with private entrances, private bathrooms, and fireplaces. Four suites have Jacuzzi bathtubs. A chapel is also available for intimate weddings and a full country breakfast is served daily. Hacienda Vargas is conveniently located in the village of Algodones approximately thirty minutes south of Santa Fe and fifteen minutes north of Albuquerque.
