General InformationWelcome to The Delforge Place, one of Fredericksburg's best known Traditional Bed & Beakfasts! The Delforge Place has been welcoming guests since 1985. The Delforge Place is a historic Victorian-style house, built as a one-room Sunday House in 1898 by German pioneer Ferdinand Koeppen. Originally situated on a tract of land near Barons Creek known as the "Company Garden", which had been set aside as a communal garden by the German Emigration Company, it was moved to its present site and restored in 1975. Today, the home retains it's unique character, with original wood floors, 12-foot ceilings, beaded board, and original beveled, stained, and etched glass doors. The Delforge Place is accented with American & European antiques. And, with your own key, you can come and go as you please. Also, The Delforge Place serves a full "world-class" breakfast featuring house specialties such as German Sour Cream Twists and Breakfast Dumplings.
