Hot Mulled Cider: Beverage

Servings: 8

Prep time:30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

  • inch piece cinnamon stick

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

  • dash salt

  • 2 quart apple juice or cider

Step 1:

Put dry ingredients in the top of a 40 cup percolator and pour the apple juice into the percolator. Turn on the percolator and enjoy the cider when it is ready.

Step 2:

An alternate method is to wrap the dry ingredients in a clean old dish towel and secure with a twist tie. Put in a pot with the apple cider and simmer for half an hour.

Step 3:

Guests at the Ant Street Inn enjoy this hot beverage at Social Time on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30-6:30 in the cooler months of the year.
