Hot Mulled Cider
Total preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: 8Ingredients:
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- inch piece cinnamon stick
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- dash salt
- 2 quart apple juice or cider
Steps:
- Put dry ingredients in the top of a 40 cup percolator and pour the apple juice into the percolator. Turn on the percolator and enjoy the cider when it is ready.
- An alternate method is to wrap the dry ingredients in a clean old dish towel and secure with a twist tie. Put in a pot with the apple cider and simmer for half an hour.
- Guests at the Ant Street Inn enjoy this hot beverage at Social Time on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30-6:30 in the cooler months of the year.
