Chocolate-Pecan Cream Cheese Pie
Serves: 8Ingredients:
- 6 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 4 Eggs
- + 2 Tablespoon cup Sugar
- 2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Pastry Shell, unbaked
- 1 1/4 cups Pecan Pieces
- 3/4 cup Light Corn Syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon Salt
- 2 oz Hershey's Unsweetened Baking Chocolate, melted
- Whipped topping and pecan halves
Steps:
- In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, 1 egg, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla; beat until smooth.
- Spread into bottom of pastry shell. Sprinkle with pecans. In medium bowl, lightly beat 3 eggs. Add corn syrup, 2 tablespoons sugar and salt; beat well.
- Stir in cooled melted chocolate and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Gently pour over pecan layer. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted 3 inch from edge comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Garnish with whipped topping and pecans, if desiered. Yield: 8 servings
