Cream Biscuits

- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- milk or butter for brushing tops
Steps:
- Into a bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt, add the cream and stir the mixture until it just forms a dough.
- Gather the dough into a ball, knead it gently 6 times on a lightly floured surface, and roll or pat gently to 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut into 10 biscuits squares or use a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter dipped in flour. Gather any scrapes and reroll and cut out additional biscuits. Place on ungreased cookie sheet
- Brush the tops with the milk or butter and bake in preheated oven 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until they are pale golden. Cool on rack for 5 minutes. Serve with jam and butter.
