Birk's Apple Syrup for French Bread Casserole: Sauce

Servings: 8

Prep time:15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 4 teaspoons corn starch

  • 1 cup apple cider or juice

  • 1 tablespoon lemon concentrate

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Step 1:

Combine dry ingredients in a saucepan and mix thoroughly together.

Step 2:

Pour in liquids and stir.

Step 3:

Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture begins to boil. Continue stirring for 2 minutes more, will have thickened by then.

Step 4:

Remove from heat and add in butter, stir until butter melts.

Step 5:

Serve with Birk's French Bread Casserole
