The Captain's Quarters is a 900 square feet, five room suite. It has a living room with a SONY 32" cable TV/VCR/DVD Surround Sound Theater System including Video/DVD library, and fireplace. The living room also has a queen sized sleeper sofa, accommodating an extra two persons. The bedroom is queen sized with cable TV, CD player and CD selection; private bathroom with shower and dressing area. There is a private kitchenette with fridge, coffeemaker and microwave, and a two person whirlpool in a lower level which formerly was the root cellar of the 1836 vintage home. The suite is secluded (unattached) on its own first floor ground level, including a private porch, private entrance and reserved off-street parking right outside the door

To reach our Guest House, travel Route 20 into Galena. At the Main Street traffic lights (at the north end of the Galena River road bridge) turn right if traveling from the west or left traveling from the east. The fifth house on the right is Captain Harris Guest House, on the corner of South Bench Street and Gear Street.
Please drive just past the frontage of the house and turn right into Gear Street. Parking will be available alongside the sidewalk. The main entrance is from that sidewalk and along the elevated front porch to the door. - Nearest major airport: DBQ 20 miles

Turn LEFT onto US-61 N
Merge onto S LOCUST ST toward US-20/DOWNTOWN/CIVIC CENTER

Travel Route 20 into Galena. At the Main Street traffic lights (just before you cross the Galena River road bridge) turn right. The fifth house on the right is Captain Harris Guest House, on the corner of South Bench Street and Gear Street.
