Gleaming hardwood floors, softened by area rugs and antique mahogany furniture create your luxurious romantic weekend or honeymoon retreat. Pocket doors separate the sleeping room (Queen sized bed) from the sitting room (Daybed w/ twins) and an elaborate oak mantel surrounds the original wood-burning fireplace. The antique queen sized bed is positioned to take full advantage of the view overlooking fields and woodland. Spacious and airy, this 300 square foot suite was once used as the gentlemen's billiard room. The ivy covered suite features a copper-faced wood-burning fireplace which can be viewed from both the tub and the Queen sized bed. The sunken 2-person whirlpool tub provides the perfect spot for fire watching or star gazing through the skylight above the tub. Private bath with separate shower. Castle in the Country features a beautiful historic Queen Anne Victorian Castle and a magnificent Contemporary Country manor house, called the Castle Keep. Located on 65 gorgeous acres of wooded property, guests of Castle in the Country enjoy walking trails through the woods, leading to a screen house at our private lake, gardens & lawns surrounding the Castle and a private gazebo overlooking a natural pond.
Summer time and the Livin' is easy. Relax on the wide wrap-around veranda, complete with a porch swing. At night, sip a glass of wine, watch the fireflies and remind yourselves why you fell in love in the first place. Our Royal Retreat Spa is located in the lower level of our Castle Keep building. This private area has soft lighting, relaxing music and candles. Our certified Massage Therapists will provide professional and seamless treatment that will put you in the perfect frame of mind to enjoy your well deserved vacation time. Take advantage of our popular Couples Side by Side Massage or any of our additional services including reflexology sessions, manicures, pedicures and facials. The 2-person whirlpool tub provides the perfect spot for fire watching or star gazing through the skylight above the tub during a romantic Michigan couple's getaway.

The queen-sized white iron and brass bed features rose covered comforter and crisp white linens. Just outside the sleeping area is a sitting area right under the roof-line and your own private bath w/shower has a skylight. So, climb the stairs and close the door to your own private haven, the Rose Gazebo.

The perfect dinner option for just the two of you, when you add our Dinner at the Inn Package, it's a relaxing (and gas saving) alternative to going out for dinner. We'll arrange a time for you to pick up your tray and take it to the romantic location of your choice. Choose from several outdoor locations, like our secluded Gazebo in the Woods, or our outdoor deck with an iron gazebo and overlooking the natural pond. If the weather isn't ideal for outdoor dining find your ideal spot in our dining rooms, coffee house cafe overlooking the pond, or even in your own guest room or suite. Come out to the Country for an unforgettable outdoor experience. Gleaming harnesses and beautifully groomed Haflinger Horses will greet you at the door of the Inn and after a brief photo session, you're off to experience your own private ride through the wooded estate of Castle in the Country. We'll schedule the time for your adventure and provide cozy wool blanket covers for you to snuggle under. We'll schedule a morning, afternoon or evening ride for you and when you return to your room or suite, we'll have provided a gift bag filled with Castle in the Country mugs, hot cocoa and chocolates for you to enjoy by the fire.
