Inn Details
Located in Richmond, Indiana, Philip Smith Bed and Breakfast is an 1890 Queen Anne inn specializing in Honeymoons, Girlfriends' Getaways, Family Reunions, Weddings, Receptions, Scrapbook Retreats Church Retreats, and Theater and Symphony Packages. This elegant Queen Anne Free Classic Victorian home located in the East Main Street-Glen Miller Park Historic District of Richmond, right on the Indiana-Ohio border off I-70. Built in 1890 by Philip W. Smith, the 2 1/2 story brick has Romanesque details and features 11 stained glass windows and ornate carved wood. Unwind in the evening with homemade snacks, coffee or tea. Awaken in the morning to a complimentary full breakfast served on fine china and linens in the dining room. All five rooms are individually decorated and include private bathrooms with either a shower or a shower/tub combination, 300 thread count sheets, cable TV, writing surface , and free high speed wireless internet service.

Innkeepers Description:
Kris and Jill have been innkeepers for 10 years, and operate three historic inns. Kris serves his country through military service in the Indiana National Guard. They have two children, Johannah and Teddy who also enjoy meeting the guests. Eileen, Kris' mother lends a helping hand at the PW Smith Bed and Breakfast.

The house was beautiful. The food excellent. Did not know about the extra blankets in the drawers...it was pretty cold

We had a very pleasant stay at Philip W. Smith B&B in Richmond, IN. The hostess recommended an excellent restaurant and we had a lovely conversation with her over breakfast. It's a beautiful old house. Too bad that urban sprawl has pu it on a very busy road.

A great stay at Phillip W. Smith B & B. The owners/hosts were very cordial and friendly. Fabulous breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday morning. The house was beautiful and charming. You cannot find that kind of workmanship in newer building today.

I spent one night in a nice room with a king size bed that was very comfortable. The breakfast was nice, it would have been nicer if I'd had some choice on the meal, I don't eat pork, but the quiche was excellent. I'd certainly stay there again.
