Fresh Apple Cake

Serves: 15Ingredients:
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 cups Shortening
- 2 Eggs
- 3 Large Apples (peeled and chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Chopped Pecans
- 2 cups Plain Flour
Steps:
- With an electric mixer cream togather Sugar & Shortening, add Eggs and mix well, then add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Pour batter into a well greased 9x13 pan. Bake @ 350 for 45 min.
- Topping: In a sauce pan combine 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup cream, and 1/2 cup butter. Boil for 1 min and pour over top of cake.
