General InformationOn the outskirts of the 1880's historic Victorian English village of Rugby,Tennessee Grey Gables offers the best of Victorian English and Tennessee Country heritage. The 10 bedrooms decorated with country and Victorian antiques, reflects the grace of the English and the comfort of country. Our fare includes: Lodging, Plateau Gourmet Dinner, Country Breakfast. In the tradition of our forebear, guests will receive a warm welcome, a restful bed and a full table.

- Our signature dish is Chicken with Sherry
Pounded Chicken breast, dipped in beaten egg and rolled in Italian bread crumbs is browned in melted butter or margarine until golden. Transfer to casserole dish. In drippings add chopped garlic, cooking sherry and chicken broth. Cook until flavors are blended. Pour over chicken breasts. Cover tightly and cook in 300 degree oven 35 to 40 minutes.

From I-40 Going west. Take highway 27 exit at Harriman. Follow 27 to 52. Turn left. Eight miles on left - Nearest major airport: TYS 80 miles

From Knoxville Airport: From Airport follow directions to Oak Ridge Pellissippi Parkway. Continue through Oak Ridge to traffic light in Oliver Springs. Turn right onto 62 to next traffic light (18 miles) at Wartburg. Turn right or North onto 27. Go approximately 20 miles to flashing traffic signal at highway 52. Turn left and go 8 miles to Grey Gables on left.
