Chef Rollins' Apple Pie

Serves: 8Ingredients:
- 6 Peeled and thinly sliced apples
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Honey
- Crust:
- 3/4 cup Flour
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 cup Butter
- 1 1/2 cup Shortening
- 8 teaspoons Water
- 1 Egg (for brushing)
Steps:
- Toss apples, cinnamon, and sugar together.
- Mix ingredients together. Roll dough out and cut out pie bottom. Place in bottom of pie pan. Fill in apples and cover with lattice strips. Brush dough with beaten egg.
- Bake at 350* for 25-30 minutes. When the pie is done, drizzle honey over warm pie. Enjoy!
