Featherbed Eggs ala Mansion House

- 28 thick slices French Bread
- 5 cups Milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Almond Extract
- 2 bags Frozen Peaches
- 2 large cakes Cream Cheese
- Granulated Sugar
- Cinnamon
- 18 Eggs

Steps:
- Butter one side of the bread and spread cream cheese on the other side. Place the slices butter-side down and close together in a large baking pan. (I have one that is 1" deep and 36" long). I usually make one large and one small pan of this for 24 guests.
- Beat up the egg and the milk and put it over the bread. Cover the pans and let them sit overnight or for at least 30 minutes until the bread is soaked through.
- Before putting it into the oven, place three slices of peaches on each piece of bread; sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar.
