General InformationAndersonville, Georgia's Place Away Cottage is located just one-fourth mile from Andersonville National Historic Site, site of the infamous Confederate Prison, open to the public daily. The cottage is in the Civil War Village of Andersonville which boasts 10 antiques and crafts shops, a good restaurant, a nationally-acclaimed Civil War Museum, and a Pioneer Farm open free to the public. The Bed and Breakfast is an attractive guest cottage with polished hard wood floors, country decor, a front porch.
