General Information

The Vendue Inn, c. 1850, has that rare location in Charleston's old French Quarter in the heart of the historic district. Several 150- year old warehouses were restored and lovingly renovated over the years to become the city's most charming historic inn. The Vendue Inn is perfectly situated for visitors eager to tour historic houses and gardens, museums, or wander through Charleston's many unique shops. Nestled by the beautiful Waterfront Park at the harbor, the Vendue is within easy walking distance to the Battery or the Old Market area. All 63 rooms and suites are elegantly decorated with 18th-century period furnishings, oriental rugs, antiques, four-poster, canopy or sleigh beds, art, and luxurious amenities. Enjoy the feeling of a bedroom in an historic home. A full Southern breakfast buffet is included. All guests are pampered with excellent personal service, wine and cheese in the afternoon, after-dinner cordials, cookies and milk before retiring, and evening turndown service. Join us at our popular Rooftop Terrace Bar for spectacular sunset views. Have a delicious lunch or perhaps a glass of wine as you reflect on Charleston's famous church steeples as the sun sets over the city and clouds turn rich pink and purple colors.
