General Information

Old Reynolds Mansion is a massive, three story, ante-bellum brick mansion, hidden in the trees, and sitting on a knoll of Reynolds Mansion. The Inn is close enough to downtown and area attractions, but far enough off the beaten path to experience what coming to the mountains is all about. In the summer, you can enjoy swimming in a huge pool, originally built in 1929, or in winter, curl up with a book in front of a wood-burning fireplace. Bird-watching, reading or just enjoying the beauty of the mountain views from the comfort of your rocking chair on the 4,000 plus square feet of verandahs, which encompass the mansion are all favorite pastimes of our guests. Innkeeper Helen Faber and Lee and Rose Mell all enjoy visiting with guests about the long history of the mansion, Senator Bob Reynolds, his family, and the association with the Hope Diamond.
