Backroads & Overlooks
Backroads and Overlooks is a bright and airy room with a queen bed on the front corner of the main floor just off the parlor. It opens onto a covered porch on the south side of the Inn. The room is decorated with old photos, license plates, maps, and postcards, inspired by the scenic highways that wind through western North Carolina and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Stems and Petals is tucked away in a hidden nook on the main floor, just off the parlor. It has a queen bed and the room opens onto a large, private covered porch on the south side of the Inn. The room is decorated with flowered wallpaper and wildflower prints, inspired by the many wildflowers that bloom in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park throughout the year.

Rocks & Rills
Rocks and Rills is a large room with a king bed on the main floor just off the library. It features a large seating area with a private deck under the shade of a maple tree. Additionally, a Celeste fireplace enhances the room with the charm and ambiance of a gently flickering fire. In the bath, an antique sideboard has been converted into a marble-top vanity. The room is decorated with old-style hiking and camping paraphernalia, walking sticks, maps, and prints, inspired by the 800 miles of hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Boots and Saddles is a cozy corner room with a queen bed on the ground floor. A Celeste fireplace enhances the room with the charm and ambiance of a gently flickering fire. Windows open to both the front and the south lawns and offer good views of Deep Creek Valley and the mountains beyond. Like all the ground floor rooms, Boots and Saddles offers the olde world charm of low, pressed-tin ceilings and flagstone floors. The room is decorated in a horse and rider theme, inspired by the popularity of horseback riding in the mountains around Bryson City.

The room is decorated with cycling paraphernalia and theme prints inspired by the nationally acclaimed Tsali bike trails just a few miles west of Bryson City.

Boats and Paddles is an upstairs room with a queen bed and a private balcony that overlooks the Folkestone Inn's grounds with a view across Deep Creek valley against a backdrop of the Smoky Mountains foothills. The room is decorated with prints and photographs of mountain river paddling, inspired by the whitewater thrills that await you on the Nantahala River and Deep Creek.

French doors open to a balcony with a view to the east, across Deep Creek valley, with a backdrop of the Smoky Mountains foothills. The room is decorated with a collection of old cameras and inspired by the thousands of "photographic moments" that the Great Smoky Mountains provide. On the walls are photographs of a mountain family, shot in nearby Sylva by photographer Jim Ayres.

The room is decorated with model trains, railroad prints and photographs, inspired by the Great Smoky Mountains Scenic Railroad that runs through Bryson City.

Wrens and Warblers is an upstairs room with a canopied queen bed and large bath. French doors open to a private balcony with a view to the north, across a mountain pasture with the peaks of the Smokies in the distance. The room is decorated with a variety of bird prints, bird houses and books, inspired by the great variety of birds that visit the Folkestone Inn during the year. Over 40 different birds were identified over one Spring weekend!
