General Information

Cape Hatteras Bed and Breakfast was featured in Travel and Leisure Magazine 2009. The ocean is just 500 feet from a Top 10 Winner of America’s Best Beaches 2009, and rated by Frommer’s as “Highly Recommended”. Our nine-room, smoke-free, AAA three diamond rated Inn is located in historic Buxton Village, near the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

We strive to be your guest room at the beach, welcoming, clean, comfortable, convenient, relaxed, with island charm and great breakfasts. Our building was a small family motel built in the 1950's and the rooms have been renovated over the years. Some rooms still have the original bathrooms. If you need a more updated feel to a room, please select a more expensive room.

In 1991 the business was opened as a B & B by converting and expanding the upstairs area to accommodate guests. The upper decks, and porches and some second floor rooms were added later, providing more of a view, and some large rooms.

Please come and share our cozy Hatteras Island B & B, and Cape Hatteras National Seashore, while enjoying the warm glow of our beloved Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.
