Mulled Cider
Total preparation time: 45 minutes
Serves: 10Ingredients:
- 1 Orange
- 8 whole cloves
- 2 quart apple cider
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 1/2 lemon
Steps:
- Wash the orange and stick the whole cloves into the orange. Wash the lemon and slice.
- Slice the orange. Combine the clove-orange pieces, cider, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and lemon slices.
- Simmer for at least thirty minutes. A crock pot works great for this. Serve hot.
- Serve hot on a cold, rainy day. This brew imparts a wonderful aroma in the house. This cider is also good with a dash of brandy.
