General Information

Operating from 1845-1865, the Bingham School served as a preparatory school for young men seeking entrance to the University of North Carolina at nearby Chapel Hill. Although the school itself is no longer standing, the headmaster's home, listed in the National Historic Registry, has received an award for it's meticulous restoration. Your hosts, the Deprez family, invite you to step back in time. Furnished in period antiques, the Inn at Bingham School is nestled among pecan trees in the rolling farmland of central North Carolina. A combination of Greek and Federal styles, and 1790 Log Cabin the Inn offers five spacious guestrooms with modern private baths. Relax on one of our porches after roaming the surrounding acres of woodland. Join in a game of croquet or find peace gently swinging in one of our hammocks. Or spend your time indoors curling up with a good book, playing games in the parlor or watching a movie from our video collection. Whatever the choice, welcome the evening over complimentary wine and cheese with your hosts. Experience more than just a room; surround yourself in the craftsmanship of a past era. With a unique blend of old and new comforts you can select rooms with different features. In every room you will be indulged with thick robes, luxurious soaps and homemade cookies. Wake up to an elaborate breakfast served in dining room or on the patio. Our menus are designed to make the most of seasonal specialties: pear-almond waffles, blueberry pancakes and corn fritters are just a few of the offerings. Fresh fruit, warm breads, gourmet coffee and teas always accompany our all homemade breakfasts. Eleven miles west of Chapel Hill, the Inn offers southern hospitality at it's finest.

  Once reservation is made we need min. 1 weeks notice prior to reservation and there is a $15.00 service fee. If cancel witin 1 week of reservation, if we can re-rent the room there is a $15.00 service fee---If we can not re-rent the room full amount is due.
