Step back in time when you visit Sea Gate B&B located in Cape Charles on Virginia’s undiscovered Eastern Shore. Only 30 miles but 40 years away from the hustle and bustle of Norfolk & Virginia Beach, Cape Charles fell asleep in the 1950s and is now awakening. Step back in time, walk our tree lined street which explode with blooming Crape Myrtles. Sea Gate offers the guest a well appointed room, a full country breakfast served from 8-10 a.m. at individual tables, in room cable tv and free wifi, and is only three houses from the beach. Play a round of golf at the Arnold Palmer or the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses at the Bay Creek Resort Community. After dinner at a local eatery, watch the sun set over the Chesapeake Bay, one of the few places on the East Coast where the sun says good night over water. If this is too much activity, sit and rock on one of the three porches that are available at Sea Gate. You set your pace of life during the visit where your privacy is most important. You will find that Sea Gate is the perfect place to rest, relax and recharge. During January,February,March a two night winter special is offered for only $200.00.

Sea Gate is a home away from home. Chris is so attentive and welcoming, the house is absolutely beautiful, breakfast delicious and our room elegant and lovely. I came to Cape Charles on business and our stay here made it a relaxed vacation! I highly recommend it and plan to go back.

We stopped here for one night, wanting to explore the Eastern Shore a bit. We could not have asked for more. The house is utterly charming, spotlessly clean, and thoroughly welcoming. We enjoyed the sun porch off of our room (the Peach Room), as well as the proximity to the bay. Chris was the perfect host in every way--thoughtful, helpful, knowledgable. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

My wife and I spent our anniversary at the Sea Gate and were treated like royalty. Chris was an outstanding host and we loved the the accommodations. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back
