General InformationGovernor's Trace Bed & Breakfast, a Georgian-style brick home completed during the restoration of Colonial Williamsburg, sits on over half an acre and lies at the hub of early life in Williamsburg, Virginia. It faces what was then the main road of commerce to and from the English ships docked about a mile away. Artifacts from both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars have been found on the property. The house is furnished with an eclectic collection of family antiques and "found" treasures acquired during 24 years of travel. Bedrooms are reflections of Colonial, Early American and Southern Plantation. Governor's Trace shares a living history today with her illustrious neighbor Colonial Williamsburg and is just a one minute walk from George Washington's favorite tavern - Christiana Campbell's. According to an article in the Washington Post, Governor's Trace "...vies for the most romantic (B&B in Williamsburg)."
