General Information

Unique brick Victorian, circa 1883. You can't miss the steeple and high pitched slate roof in the distance - and up close the gingerbread trim on the porches and brick detailing and inlays will delight the eye. Once owned by a prominent family (Henry Clay Dodson), this is one of the most prominent architectural elements of the Historic District. Located across the street from the new entrance to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum which uses the old Knapps Narrows draw bridge, you are only two blocks from the harbor or the shops. Excellent restaurants in the same block and others within St. Michaels add to your stay. We have bikes to explore the many water vistas in the area, and our front porch or sun deck upstairs add to your enjoyment. We pride ourself on the gourmet breakfast served in our formal dining room off of the parlor. Rooms are late Victorian with Queen Anne cherry reproductions, elegant brass King or Queen bed, all with private bath with Victorian touches and tiled shower stalls.
